There were a lot of outfits that I liked, but these I felt were styled the best as a whole.

ZOOEY DESCHANEL

zooey-photo3

Adorable, talented and always fashionable; my intrigue with Ms. Deschanel culminated when I saw her perform as part of the lovely duo, She & Him, in Asheville, NC this past summer. She looked radiant in a white eyelet summer dress with flowers in her hair– shakin’ her tamborine.

VDAY

Valentines Day was unbelievable when Chris surprised me with a Grand Suite at the beautiful (and brand new) AVIA HOTEL in downtown Savannah. The hotel blends modern style with antique touches to create unique rooms.

We just may base the new color palette at our townhouse off this room….

Chris also took me to an elegant and romantic dinner at VIC’S ON THE RIVER. I used the opportunity to you know, dress classy or something.

BONAVENTURE CEMETERY - SAVANNAH, GA

After a surprise trip to Cracker Barrel this morning, Chris and I decided to kill this afternoon waiting to check into our hotel by strolling Bonaventure Cemetery. There are some famous people buried here.. but instead we like to look at the water spouts that dot every few graves and wonder if we’d turn into zombies if we drank the water…

My 20th century art professor sometimes goes on tangents, but I don’t mind, especially when they introduce me to artists like this:

MAX KLINGER

These late-19th century etchings are entitled Paraphrases about the Finding of a Glove: The images came to Klinger in a dream after he found a single glove at an ice skating ring. There are 10 entries, here are my 4 favorites:
